Boom boom boom!

There was the National Day Parade Preview today. This year's parade is at the Padang. When I walked towards Raffles City from Bugis, the road was very congested. The road between Bras Basah and CHIJMES was littered with many traffic police. While waiting to cross over to CHIJMES, 2 tankers and a fire engine drove past. I guessed it was all in the parade as the soldier on the tanker was waving to the crowd at the traffic junction.

I wanted to watch the fireworks. I stood outside Cafe Cartel and waited for the fireworks. There was a crowd standing and staring into the still clear sky. There were families, individuals with their video cameras and couples.

at 8:09 p.m.
"Boom!" Many columns of sparks burst into the sky. The "sparks" opened like a flower would bloom in a video under fast forward. The sight was spectacular. There were some fireworks that went "pop!" while others sizzled! Some bloomed like a flower while others twirled. Some come in the shape of stars encircled with with sparks while others leave a dazzling trail of glittering sparks. *swoonz*

I always love the NDP for the fireworks display. *weee*
